My favourite hike was the one in the Verzasca Valley. There`s is everything a pug loves: Open meadows, clear water and cooling woods. Especially the house are fascinating. They are made of granite, even the roofs. And they are located throughout Ticino, but in Verzasca Valley there are many of them.
Our summer cottage was not far from Italy and therefore we went for a short excursion to Cernobbio by Lake Como.
I have mentioned this before: Switzerland is a really dog-friendly country. I was allowed to use the cableway for free and I was allowed to visit the Hermann Hesse museum in Montagnola. After asking the nice lady at the front desk, we could enter, although there is a "dogs not allowed" sign at the door.
